Heat
"Every character is not required to have a Big Moment even if they can play it well, which
these four actresses can. That’s especially true of Jillian Pollock-Reeves, potent and raw
as Shelly. Pollock-Reeves reels the audience in."
Naked Will
“Although there wasn’t a bad performance in the lot, a couple other actors, in addition to
Hampton, were worthy of note: Jillian Pollock-Reeves as Shakespeare’s Dark
Lady, gives an inspired comic performance, re-imagining this giant figure
in literary history as a lusty, cunning and deceptively silly woman.”
80 Days Around the World
"Enough cannot be said of [Jillian Pollock-Reeves] who gives the production it's high-
velocity energy....[she] must be very tired after each performance, but labors in a
wonderfully entertaining cause."
Sylvia
"Jillian Pollock-Reeves' portrayal of the unique title role is an absolute treat. She doesn't
wear a furry dog suit, she's never down on all fours, nor does she hop around in any cutesy
doglike way with little paws held up. It's a tricky role because she must communicate with
the audience on human terms while conveying canine emotion and spontaneity as well.
Her exuberant "barks" and her frisky, affectionate body language are irresistible. She also
warms our hearts with her "dog's eye view" of life. Sylvia talks but not in puppy patter.
She's intelligent and insightful, often forcing the couple to confront their own fears and
insecurities.
The lines playwright Gurney has scripted for Sylvia are the kind dog owners imagine their
pets would say if they could talk, and Pollock-Reeves delivers them uproariously. She's
alternately mischievous, hyperactive, sexy and defiant."
Rabbit’s Foot
"Everyone in director Priscilla Paris-Austin's cast has her or his moments … most
affectingly, Jillian Pollock-Reeves' asthmatic Holly Day stand out, and [she] pump the
script as hard, and effectively, as [she] can."
Blues for an Alabama Sky
"There are two outstanding performances by Jillian Pollock-Reeves as the tempestuous
Angel, who is anything but, and Victor Dean as the wonderfully flamboyant Guy."
"Pollock-Reeves swings nicely between periods of vunerability and brassiness in this role."

"Thank you for this film. Jillian's character was not only beautiful but also self–assured
and true to herself. Lamman's character was a vision of brother's that just don't seem to
exist anymore. "
"[Reeves & Rucker] were right away likeable. They were as beautiful as any hollywood
actors and more so than most, definitely rising stars."
"I loved the movie! It put a perspective on life that I never really thought about, plus who
would wanna pass up a man as sexy as Lamman...lol You're a wonderful actress and strong
black woman, please keep up the excellent work that inspires young black women like
myself!"
"WOW! Thats all I have to say. You were amazing, Jillian and I really enjoyed your
performance as Essence, totally related and cared for the character you portrayed. Keep
doing everything you are doing."
"I always wondered how a conversation about discussing HIV and getting tested with your
partner would go. Now I have a better understanding. Essense's [Jillian] character was
right on point, "I don't love anybody more than I love myself." Great movie, even for the
"experienced"
